ENGRAVED CACHETS have always been very popular with collectors. Four popular engraved cachets are Grimsland, House of Farnam, ArtCraft and ArtMaster. Henry Grimsland of Chicago, Illions produced engraved cachets from 1933 until 1951. Most are one color cachets, with many in the colour of the stamp. Most are signed "Grimsland" in the design.

House of Farnam cachets have been produced for every issue from the TIPEX Souvenir sheet of 1936 up to the present. Farnam cachets are engraved usually in one color; many are signed "House of Farnam" or "HF."

ArtCraft Cachets have been continually produced by Washington Stamp Exchange since 1939. The first ArtCraft, prepared for the World's Fair issue of 1939, is an unsigned engraved design, in Blue. Most ArtCraft cachets are black, signed with the ArtCraft pallet and brushes trademark.

Artmaster Cachets have been produced for all new U.S stamps since the Honourable Discharge Commemorative of 1946. Artmaster cachets are engraved cachets usually in a dark green or gray color, and are signed "Artmaster".
