These handy tweezer - like instruments are easy to use, and come in several different styles, allowing you to choose according to your own personal preference. A good pair of stamp tongs should be thin enough to pick a stamp up from a flat surface, and should have slightly rounded rounded ends and highly polished edges and surfaces to avoid damaging the stamp.
