STOCK BOOKS
Stock books are temporary albums used to keep stamps for preliminary sorting or accumulation prior to mounting, or to keep duplicates for sale or trade. The pages have long, shallow pockets into which stamps can be slipped; they are then held reasonably secure, but can be quickly and easily removed when necessary. Stock books may have either stiff manila pocket pages or transparent plastic pockets on black backing, to show off your stamps better; they may be inexpensive, and small enough to fit into your pocket or purse, or as large and luxorious as any standard album.
