Another method of mounting stamps in an album is to use plastic strips or tubes, which can be cut to an exact fit. Stamps thus mounted are well protected by the though plastic shell, but remain completely visible. Use of plastic mounts instead of hinges also mean that the original gum on mint stamps remains intact. There are many different mounts available.
