Stamps 123 -- Your online destination to know everything about stamp collecting. It is more than that. It's an online community! HISTORY I began building this site on 19th June 2005 as the date below shows. I am a stamp collector, but I didn't find any good free site on stamp collecting. All were just stamp sellers' sites and some were just crap. The rest were just crap. So I though about building my own one. Children need to take up the hobby of stamp collecting, if not seriously. Stamp collecting teaches us a lot of innumerable things, such as geography, history, etc. Stamps, itself holds more knowledge than a book. I remeber the times when a lot of children found stamp collecting interesting. But now they are more into playing computer games, video games and other such activities. So I wanted to build a site that would encourage children to collect stamps as well as to serve present collectors. Anyway, I needed to find a free host for my website. I entered the word " free webhosting " into google and a lot of them showed up. But most of them didn't work or didn't support websites built by frontpage. Others just showed too much advertisements ( popups, banners, they were just crazy!). So it was by luck that I came to tripod.lycos.com So here I am, with my very own stamp website. I hope you like it very much! This site is dedicated to promote stamp collecting and to serve the beginning as well as the advanced stamp collector. All the information collected on this site is kept confidential. I DO NOT SELL ANY INFORMATION TO ANYONE and you should do the same!
